Your Role
I graduated in Electronics and Communication Engineering. I have done hands-on work in network security testing, web security testing, vulnerability assessment, SOC monitoring, log analysis, and incident analysis during work in various security labs and projects. I am very keen on cyber-security both offensive and defensive types of it.
Conducted approved reconnaissance and service discovery on vulnerable lab systems using Nmap. Worked on characterizing typical web application security vulnerabilities with Burp Suite and linked them to the concepts of OWASP Top 10. Compiled results with proof, risk context, and feasibility of recommended mitigation strategy.
Constructed a minor SOC laboratory for collecting telemetry data regarding the endpoints and other related activities. Performed analysis of credentials and other operations as well as the traffic data, through triaging alerts based on severity, evidence, and IOC. Drafted detailed incident notes including detection, investigation, results, and urgent recommendations in terms of preventing attacks.
Conducted vulnerability assessment for the lab assets via Qualys and Nessus and also cross-checked with CVE/CVSS data to prioritize vulnerabilities for remediation. Mapped the selected vulnerabilities’ findings with security telemetry from Wazuh to leverage results as detection opportunities. Verified remediation through follow-up scans and documented the before/after posture via a concise assessment report.
