Cybersecurity Analyst
I am a Cybersecurity Analyst with less than 1 year of experience, including an internship at Veltrixis Technologies Private Limited from August 2025 to January 2026. During my time there, I investigated over 30 security alerts weekly, honing my skills in analyzing Windows Event Logs and network traffic through SIEM tools. I'm building toward a role as a Cybersecurity Engineer, where I can leverage my expertise in incident response and threat detection to enhance organizational security.
Built a SOC simulation lab using pfSense firewall, Sysmon endpoint telemetry, and CrowdSec IDS. Simulated attack scenarios including brute-force login attempts and malicious traffic. Collected and analyzed logs to detect suspicious activity.
Ingested and analyzed SSH, DNS, and HTTP logs using Splunk. Developed SPL queries to detect suspicious login attempts and abnormal network activity. Created dashboards to visualize security events and support threat investigation.
Developed a deep-learning-based intrusion detection system combining CNN and LSTM architectures for IoT attack classification. Improved detection accuracy through dataset preprocessing and feature engineering.
Aug 2025 – Jan 2026
Investigated 30+ security alerts per week, analyzing Windows Event Logs and network traffic via SIEM tools to identify phishing, brute-force, malware, DoS/DDoS, XSS, and policy violation incidents. Improved SOC efficiency by refining alert triage, incident workflows, and documentation/playbooks, helping reduce false positives, speed up incident resolution, and strengthen threat detection.
Dec 2024 – May 2025
Investigated 50+ security alerts, performed phishing email analysis, and analyzed Windows Event Logs and network traffic to support incident investigations. Assisted in incident response, threat intelligence validation, IOC analysis, and remediation activities while documenting security findings and recommendations.
Dec 2023 – Feb 2024
Performed structured vulnerability scans and basic penetration testing labs on web applications and practice network environments, identifying common security weaknesses and suggesting remediation steps. Completed guided hands-on labs covering firewall fundamentals, network security, access control, and cybersecurity best practices, reinforcing core concepts for SOC and defensive security work.
